Shrimp with Veggies: Best Way to Make Your Little Ones Eat Vegetables During Winter

We all know how difficult it can be for moms to make their little ones eat vegetables. But vegetables have lots of nutrients for the human body, especially winter veggies. Thus, we bring a delicious preparation of shrimp where you can add different vegetables and make your child happy at the dinner table.

Know the Ingredients

  1. One pound of medium to large shrimp head and shell removed
  2. Red, green and yellow bell peppers, one each and into cube-cut
  3. One cup of cauliflower into a small cut
  4. One cup of broccoli into a small cut
  5. One big white onion into cube-cut
  6. Half a cup of green peas
  7. Half cup of spring onion
  8. Half-cup of corn
  9. Half-cup of mushroom
  10. Half a cup of chicken broth
  11. Finely chopped garlic
  12. Finely chopped ginger
  13. One-tablespoon of vinegar
  14. Four-tablespoons of cooking oil
  15. One teaspoon of oregano
  16. Salt and ground black pepper, according to your taste.


  1. Wash shrimps well and marinate it with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  2. Add a little oil to a frying pan and allow it to become hot.
  3. Add the shrimps to the pan and fry them on low flame. Once the shrimps get light brown, keep them aside.
  4. Add some more oil to that same pan. Now, add chopped garlic and ginger to the oil. Fry them a little till you get the aroma.
  5. Add all the veggies one by one and toss them well. Ensure that the veggies are fried but do not change their colour.
  6. Add salt and black pepper and mix them well with all the vegetables fried in the pan.
  7. Add the fried shrimps and mix well with the veggies. Now, add the chicken broth to that pan and cover it, keeping the flame low.
  8. After 5-8 minutes, remove the cover and check if all the veggies are well cooked.
  9. Add the vinegar and mix it well.
  10. Sprinkle the oregano and some spring onion on top of it.
  11. Serve it hot with fried rice or pasta.

If the little ones or the teenagers of your family do not love to have vegetables on their dinner plates, this can be a great way to make them it and enjoy their dinner.
