Shrimp and Avocado Salad with Miso Dressing

One thing which you cannot resist about spicy shrimp is the dressing and the taste. This salad is something which doesn’t require much hard work, but the result is highly satisfying. Salad is a healthy diet and so does shrimps. They have great nutrients and a low-fat diet with shrimps never goes wrong. The recipe that we will share is a very different version from the conventional one. Ingredients for Salad

  • Minced garlic (1 teaspoon)
  • Raw shrimps with a removed tail (half a pound)
  • Butter (½ tablespoon)
  • Chili powder (½ tablespoon)
  • Cayenne (¼ tablespoon)
  • Sliced avocados (11/2 cups)
  • Cucumber (1)
  • Chopped spinach/ baby kale
  • Chopped cilantro (topping)
  • Peanuts (topping)

Ingredients for the dressing

  • Peeled ginger 1/1 inch
  • Oil 3 tablespoons
  • Lime juice (3 tablespoons)
  • Agave nectar (2 tablespoons)
  • White miso paste
  • Minced garlic (½ teaspoon)
  • Salt (¼ teaspoon)

Directions for Making the Shrimp and Avocado Salad

  1. Take a small skillet and heat the butter with medium flame. Add shrimp and garlic, put some chili powder and Cayenne directly on the pan. Give it some time and saute properly, until you can see a light golden color on the outer surface.

  2. Take the avocados and then cut them in half, vertically and horizontally and easily scoop the flesh with the help of a spoon.

  3. Take the cucumber, peel and dice it properly, next comes the chopping of spinach or baby kale in small pieces.

  4. Take a bowl and arrange all of them together and add the shrimps.
  5. It’s time to mix all the ingredients of dressing, give it a nice whip and pour it all over the bowl prepared with shrimp and avocado.

  6. Cut fresh cilantro and peanuts to garnish the salad.
